This is a wintertime photograph of the windmill at the Lompa Ranch in Carson City in early 2014. The Lompa Ranch is a large ranch  in the east side of a now more urbanized Carson City. Carson City was once the smallest state capital in the United States , but it's population is now at about 60,00 residents. This High Sierra area has moderate temperatures most of the year. The State Capitol Building on Carson Street is located about 1.2 miles west of this location at about 1755 East Fifth Street. (c) RandomNevada.blogspot.com
